It is + adjective for weather

Use 'It is' followed by an adjective to describe the weather. For rain and snow, use 'It is raining / snowing'.

It is sunny and warm today.

It is very cold in winter.

It is hot and humid in summer.

The Four Seasons

There are four seasons in the year: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. In spring, it is warm and there are flowers. In summer, it is very hot and sunny. People go to the beach. In autumn, it is cloudy and windy. The leaves fall from the trees. In winter, it is cold and sometimes it snows. I love winter because I like snow and hot chocolate.
